Shailaja Annamraju.

Shailaja leads the Grant and Analytics teams at GIF. In her most recent role, she established the impact framework and analytical team as the Deputy Chief Economist at the UK Infrastructure Bank. With 25 years of experience as a senior economist, civil servant and team leader at the UK Department for International Development (DFID), she has worked on climate adaptation policy, finance analytics and the establishment of the International Climate Fund. Her contributions also include designing regional climate programmes in South Asia and overseeing public financing for small island states facing economic shocks. Shailaja is now focused on contributing to the growth of organisations that prioritise social and climate innovations, aiming to invest in impactful, scalable initiatives that improve the lives of the world’s poorest.
