Avinash leads GIF's risk capital investment team and heads GIF Growth, GIF's new returnable capital investment vehicle. He shares oversight of the GIF's finance function with our CEO, ensuring close alignment between investments and financing.
Avinash has over 12 years of experience spanning impact investing, social entrepreneurship, international banking and technology. He previously worked as a consultant advising institutional and individual investors on early stage investing in India - most notably helping prepare strategy and structure for a $100m family office.
Avinash oversaw the education and agriculture portfolios in India for Acumen Fund and briefly led debt investments as VP, Investments, at Grameen Impact, a non-banking finance organisation in India. He has been an entrepreneur in the ed-tech space and worked in international banking and technology.
