GIF welcomes FCDO announcement on the renewed DSTI–GIF partnership.

GIF welcomes the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and High Commission Pretoria announcing the partnership between the Global Innovation Fund (GIF) and South Africa’s Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI). GIF’s partnership with DSTI was launched at the recent Science Forum South Africa (SFSA) in Pretoria.

The renewed partnership focuses on advancing science, technology, and innovation for socio-economic progress across Africa, from improving livelihoods and health outcomes to supporting economic inclusion and climate resilience. As part of the SFSA programme, GIF joined DSTI and partners for a panel discussion on how we can leverage our partnership to drive development outcomes at scale. Together, we are working to ensure that high-potential African innovations reach the people and communities who stand to benefit most.
