GIF is a non-profit, social-first investment vehicle with the mission to find, fund, and scale-up cost-effective, evidence-based innovations that have the potential to measurably improve the lives of millions of people living on $5 a day or less.

We invest in development innovations backed by evidence and have the potential to scale. This requires a team approach that brings together investment expertise, an understanding of economic concepts and analytical frameworks, experience from living and working in developing countries, and the understanding of complex development problems and their contexts.

Teamwork that leverages our diversity is essential to our success. Finding and funding innovative solutions is fundamentally risky and experimental, and, coupled with a commitment to grounding this in evidence-based approach using data as strategy for risk mitigation, means no single individual has the skills and experience it takes to bring a GIF deal to successful fruition on their own.

GIF seeks individuals, therefore, able to work through this natural tension in a productive, constructive manner; believe deeply in our mission;and can effectively collaborate across teams and workstreams.

As well as the values and organisational culture that we strive to live, GIF offers employees benefit packages commensurate with the markets in which we operate and GIF’s status as a registered charity.
