Shane Leonard

Shane A. Leonard, CFA is the Chief Financial Officer at the Global Innovation Fund. Shane leads the finance team’s initiatives including planning, controls, reporting and treasury. He works closely with our CEO, the Board and the Audit Committee. Prior to GIF, Shane has been the CFO at a number of high growth, venture-backed businesses and an executive at several fintech firms.

Previously, Shane worked in Strategy & Corporate Development for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s former venture arm, EMPGI. He started his career at Credit Suisse in the equity division where he was a no.1 ranked equity analyst; and at Citgroup where he was a Director in the Capital Markets team. Shane holds a Masters in Economics and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
